Miller Environmental Group’s Syracuse Waste Management Facility (SWMF) is a fully permitted non-hazardous waste processing and transfer facility serving industrial operators across Central New York and the broader Northeast. Conveniently situated near the NYS Thruway and Routes 81 and 690, the facility combines strong regional access with a broad permit scope, including onsite solidification of non-pumpable industrial wastes, a processing capability most regional TSDF facilities simply don’t offer.

Facility Overview
The Syracuse Waste Management Facility is built for the range and variability of industrial waste streams that Central New York generates. From routine bulk liquid and solid waste to more challenging materials requiring onsite treatment before transport, we have the permitting, equipment, and operational procedures to handle it without improvisation.
Core operations at the facility include:
- Waste receipt and storage—Secure intake of bulk and containerized non-hazardous industrial liquids and solids
- Consolidation and transfer—Efficient staging and repackaging for downstream transport and final disposal
- Solidification—Onsite treatment of non-pumpable non-hazardous industrial wastes prior to transportation
- Transportation coordination—Transfer to final disposal destinations via Miller Environmental Group’s established Eastern Seaboard logistics network
- 24-hour surveillance—Secure, well-lit facility with continuous video monitoring and controlled visitor access
Accepted Waste Streams
The Syracuse Waste Management Facility holds NYSDEC 360 permitting to accept the following non-hazardous and conditionally exempt waste types:
- Non-hazardous bulk industrial liquid wastes
- Non-hazardous bulk industrial solid wastes
- Used oil (bulk)
- Used oil and gasoline mixtures
- Household hazardous waste
- Hazardous waste from Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG)
- Universal wastes
- Asbestos wastes

- Eastern Seaboard Transport Permits—Miller Environmental Group holds all necessary transportation permits to coordinate waste movement into the facility across the Eastern Seaboard
Facility operations are conducted in a secure, well-lit environment with 24-hour video surveillance and a controlled visitor sign-in process.
