Miller Environmental Group was recently featured in a Times Union article about a serious fuel spill in Columbia County, New York. When a gasoline tanker collided with a passenger vehicle, both occupants of the smaller vehicle unfortunately died. In addition, the tanker suffered damage that resulted in a large gasoline spill. It’s estimated that 3,000 to 3,500 gallons of fuel were released into the surrounding ground and nearby creek.

We were called in to lead the urgent cleanup efforts. Working with the New York State Department of Environmental Conversation, our team deployed equipment and resources to contain and recover the spilled fuel as quickly and effectively as possible. Time was of the essence, as the condition of local waterways and the ground in the immediate vicinity was getting worse by the minute.

Miller was able to achieve the best possible cleanup outcome as a result of swift action and expertly implemented cleanup processes.
